Daily Haiku prompt Mar 11-20, 2024

Haiku series #6
I write one haiku per day from prompts.
You can follow me on Mastodon for your daily dose of haiku.

Mar 11, 2024 – swallow
Don't trust all you're told
The beautiful songs sometimes
They're poison not gold

Mar 12, 2024 – Spring evening
Still, the air is chill
Even when days take longer
to turn into nights

Mar 13, 2024 – bottomless
Unfathomable
Abyss,
           a thing of
                            nightmares
Fall
       ing
             end
                     less
                             ly

Mar 14, 2024 – light snow
Like light flakes of snow
My skin prickling can feel you
Soft touch of a ghost

Mar 15, 2024 – fiddlehead
A spiralling bow
To the forest canopy
Unfurling in awe

Mar 16, 2024 – night
In between shadows
Pockets of light. The moon plays
with the clouds up high

Mar 17, 2024 – gusts
Gusts of summer wind
Electric and bone-chilling
A storm is coming

Gusts of Autumn wind
Thousands of colors falling
The end of something

Gusts of winter wind
Infiltrate the narrow streets
Chilling to the bone

With gusts of Spring wind
Thousands of fragrances fly
Renewal of life

Mar 18, 2024 – avalanche
Engulfed in feelings
Bracing for the avalanche
Precarious terrain

Mar 19, 2024 – equinox
To each equal light
Balancing the darkness. Hope
For a better world

Mar 20, 2024 – geese
In a synced chaos
A plump of geese takes flight. Wild
Life is on the move
